Catholic Women’s Mentoring Program is a national initiative aimed at building the skills, confidence and networks of Australian Catholic women and encouraging them in their faith.
The program is a product of the 2015-2016 cohort of the Young Catholic Women’s Fellowship.
The program aims to empower women to use their gifts and talents to make meaningful and significant contributions to the Australian Church and increase their positive impact on Australian society.
Catholic women are invited to sign up online as a mentor or mentee. Mentors will be matched with a younger woman (mentee), according to their needs, whom they will encourage and support sharing their faith and life journey. While there are no age restrictions for mentors, it is expected that mentors will be able to share significant life experience with their mentee.
The program has an informal structure; it is up to the mentor and mentee to choose how they would like to connect and how often. The program is based on building companionship to encourage faith and confidence among Australian Catholic women.
All program participants must be over 18 years of age.
